We travel slowly. It’s no secret. We like to take detours and wrong turns often lead us to some of our greatest memories. This tradition began when I was traveling with my dear friend, Jenny through Thailand and Vietnam and certainly was adopted when Phil and I traveled throughout southern and east Africa.
Traveling in an RV has slowed us down even more. Whether it’s because we stop for a quick repair or see something spectacular and decide to cook a meal and maybe stay overnight somewhere unplanned. So, when it came time to pick a name for the RV, Phil immediately said, “Festina Lente”! The Latin phrase translating to “make haste slowly”. Or, as we say, hurry slowly.
Phil, with help from his buddies, Chris and Garner, designed a decal to make the name official. the four of us had a great time celebrating the naming and were treated to the most beautiful sunset afterward.
