Our kids are adventurous, sometimes to a fault. Yesterday, P&B created a “desert obstacle course” and were having a blast until a slip resulted in poor B sliding right into a jumping cholla cactus. He couldn’t have been more brave while we tweezed out every pricier, which took over 30 minutes. Thanks to a park ranger, we finished the extraction by covering his hand in duck tape and pulling out some of the smaller prickles.


Summit had a similar battle with a cactus In colorado a couple of years ago. They are prickly!
