From Nogales, With Love

Patti has been gracious to let us stay at her casita in Nogales while she heads back to Orlando to finish out the school year. There’s always a void when saying “see you later” but we have a feeling we’ll be back here when she returns in June. We have all enjoyed settling into the simpler, slower pace of life. Our days begin and end with the sunrise and sunset. P &B have created some imaginative games and my goal of homeschooling has been so easy as one of their new favorite past times are drawing pictures and creating stories about them. We end most days by journaling and taking turns reading to each other. Visiting National and state parks also provide an incredible opportunity for experiential learning.

Saying Adios to Patti before her flight to Orlando.

My brother, Jeff gifted the kids an awesome telescope and our first clear night happened to land on his birthday. A meaningful way to celebrate from a distance.
B’s new favorite activity is making fresh squeezed OJ from the fruits of the orange tree
